I am a multilingual educator with 10+ years of experience helping students gain confidence in English and Spanish. My lessons are interactive, practical, and designed to fit your real-life needs. As someone who knows firsthand the challenges of adapting to a new culture and language, I’ve always been passionate about helping others navigate this journey. When I moved to a new country for the first time, the process of learning a second language wasn’t just about words or grammar, it was about finding my voice in a world that suddenly felt unfamiliar. That experience shaped my approach as an ESL instructor: to create classrooms where students feel not only welcome but empowered to find their own voice. My academic path began with a degree in Modern Languages where I explored the intricacies of language acquisition and teaching. I also further my studies at Oxford, UK. In my studies, I have had the training and opportunity of diving into Teaching Strategies, Phonetics and Phonology, and Advanced Linguistics. My graduation project was to design an English vocabulary book for under-resourced schools. This passion carried into my teaching career, where one of my most important experiences has been working as an ESL teacher, where I created the Coffee and Conversation program at The Tiyya Foundation. I had the privilege of designing lesson plans for adult learners, many of whom were refugees from all around the world,, helping them prepare for their educational and professional aspirations. Through these sessions, I’ve seen how language learning transforms lives, not just by teaching grammar or vocabulary, but by fostering confidence and creating connections. Whether teaching online or in person, I’ve embraced creative ways to engage students, adapting lessons to meet their unique needs while maintaining a culturally responsive environment. For me, teaching ESL or Spanish isn’t just a job; it’s about empowering others to share their stories and find their own voice in their target language. On the other hand, I am a trained theatrical SAG-AFTRA actress.
