Do you need to reduce your accent in English? You can do it! And I can help. Do you need to improve your grammar, or your writing? I can help with that too. Hi, I’m Scott. I tutor English as a second language (ESL). I can teach you on Zoom, Google Meet, Discord, or Facebook Messenger. I can help you with pronunciation (the sounds of English, accent reduction), grammar, expressions, vocabulary, and writing (essays, reports, and correspondence). I am a native English speaker, and studied linguistics at the University of California at Davis. I have also taught English as a second language at a university overseas. I am fluent in Russian and German, and have studied other languages, such as Spanish, Malay, and Italian. (Я могу проводить уроки для вас и на русском языке; potremmo fare lezioni anche in italiano.) Languages are fun! I also work as a professional translator: So writing well in English is an important part of my work. Because I have learned languages and taught English, I can better understand what you need and how to help you. My knowledge of phonetics, morphology, syntax, and other aspects of grammar also give me insight that helps me explain English better. I enjoy teaching, and giving help that is truly useful to you.
