FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour, but that rate is determined by factors such as travel, the duration of the lesson and the number of students being taught. I am willing for the first introductory-session to be at half-price and last for no longer than 30 minutes so I can get to know the student. For a final frame of reference, a virtual session with one student will cost $60 an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon agreeing on a day, time, and place, the first introductory session would involve meeting the student as well as their parent or guardian. A visual schedule for the student would be prepared and explained. While the student initiates an activity, the planning of the goals and future sessions for the student will be discussed with the parent.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in education for over 6 years and extensive experience in Special Ed and teaching English-learners. I spent half my career being a classroom teacher in both private and public schools before developing my own practice. I have my masters in elementary education and my license to teach grades 1-6 in the state of Massachusetts.
