Before contacting TropiCool, I had received seven quotes. Before I bought this mobile it had been remodeled from a three-bedroom to a two-bedroom, and I was struggling to cool the front part of the house where the remodel occurred. I repeatedly told other companies I was missing a duct, but no one could pinpoint the issue. One company mentioned rust but couldn’t find the missing duct. Then Juan, TropiCool’s work foreman, came out and located the elusive duct immediately and discovered it wasn’t capped and had significant rust. TropiCool quoted me a price that was less than half of what other companies had offered. Brady was incredibly easy to talk to, and Juan and his crew spent an entire day correcting previous installation mistakes and installing a fully new duct system. They were thorough, professional, and respectful, taking the time to answer all my questions clearly and without any trace of attitude. If you’re a woman, this company is an excellent choice. I never felt taken advantage of or pressured into buying something I didn’t need. For example, one company tried to upsell me on a completely new mini-split system costing over $15,000—nice, but not realistic on a fixed income, and I had just bought a brand-new heat pump a year ago. Instead, TropiCool respected my budget and needs. I felt valued throughout the entire process, with no condescension or gimmicks. Now, my new duct system is properly installed, and my year-old 3-ton unit can finally do its job. The difference in my home’s comfort and cleanliness is night and day! My nightmare was put to rest when i decided to have Mechanical Brothers come out. They're technician Joe came to check my unit and he found that my compressor is bad and needed to be replaced. I know he must have felt really awkward hearing me rant and rave and practically in tears because of the price of the repair but seeing how I was upset he told me he would try his best to work with me on what we can do. he made a call to the office. Moments late my phone rings and its the office assistant letting me know what options they were willin to me. Needless to say i had a new compessor install and enjoying cold blowing air in a matter of hours!!
