I’m indifferent about my experience with this “company” they have the potential to be honest and trustworthy. Unfortunately those traits do not exist with this company at this time. The tech did show up earlier than expected. I explained to the tech I did recharge it with Freon last year, although that’s a different entire experience with Doctor cool that was not so great either. So once the HVAC heroes tech showed up, not even 30 seconds he advises I need a new unit that is going to cost $3000, literally 30 seconds upon arriving to the residence. I then asked if he was going to do a thorough diagnosis of the system to make sure that’s the issue. He does then check in my blower motor in the attic unit. He was able to see that the blower motor was not working. His quote to change the blower motor was over $1200. Not sure how they came up with these prices, they just just throw a number out there and see if a customer bites. I was able to buy a blower motor for $113 and replace the blower motor within 30 min. Moral of the story, just do your research before you commit to anything. I almost pulled the pin on the $1200 repair on a $113 product and 30min of labor. I’m not sure why HVAC companies feel the need to try and get the most money out of you for minimal work. Since I’ve moved to Houston, So far I am 2/2 on bad experiences with HVAC companies. I have yet to find a honest and trustworthy company.
