Kathleen Eakins says, "My daughter was struggling in math for a few years (C- and sometimes D's). Her school suggested that we reach out to see if tutoring would help. With so many out there we started with one place. My daughter loved it, but when it came time for tests, she still failed them. They gave study test to the kids before exams. The practice tests were on things that she had never learned. All students in Las Vegas are not on the Common Core System. For as much as I was paying a week she should've have a A- B average. I decided I needed to switch and that is when we found Horizon Star. My daughter knew Samiya from her days in gymnastics. I said will give her a try. Since then, my daughter has been maintaining an A average. One other thing that I like is sometimes she may not need as much math help one day, but may help in another subject. Samiya has no problem switching gears and assisting in other subjects. I have not seen that in any other program. I've also had her assist with my niece with her college courses too. I would recommend this service to anyone that has someone that is struggling. This place is top notch. !!!!"See more
