its was a pleasant experience working with paul on my furnace installation. he was willing to meet on a quick notice, communicated well, met me onsite, called me after hours to assist, and showed up on time on a saturday morning. The job went smoothly and he left the jobsite cleaner than it was prior to project. pricing was totally fair, he handled my parts warranty registration and even called me on sunday to make sure everything was running smoothly and made me aware of a filter that needs to be changed soon on my AC when most companies would have by passed it because they were not being paid for that service, paul went the extra mile! i own my own business with a few rental props. so im always looking great contractors for plumbing, electricians, mechanics etc., but especially good HVAC representaion and i strongly recommend paul if your expect high quality workmanship alongside of fair pricing..excellent pick and a great people person...give him a call, tell him Tim sent ya:)!!!

I wish I had read (and believed) Sam’s earlier bad reviews before selecting him for my HVAC work and highly suggest you read them! Sam initially comes across as a nice guy, reasonable, honest, and confident in his assessment of the problem. Unfortunately, none of these adjectives appear accurate. I had a fine dust accumulating in my rental house and Sam encouraged me to install a UV light, saying that he’d seen good results with other homes he had worked on with a similar situation. I questioned Sam on the efficacy of the UV light, thinking it was primarily to address microbial issues (of which I do not have), but he reiterated its high rate of success and said he would remove the light and refund me for everything if it did not work. So, I thought “why not”, he seems like he knows what he is talking about. After a few weeks of light installation, it was clearly not having any positive impact on the situation, so I asked Sam to remove it and refund me. Sam removed the light and told me he had to return it before he could refund me—this was a red flag, but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Several days go by and no refund—I try to call and text to inquire on status and he states that he still has not returned the light. Finally, a week after removing light and a few days after Sam returned the light, I insist he provide my refund. He tells me that a light I paid him $275 (plus $89 for labor and taxes) for only got $130 when he returned it because of a restocking fee and the bulb was not accepted. This implied what is really a ~$50 bulb was a ~$120 bulb to fit Sam’s narrative. I kept pushing for a refund and it was clear Sam had no intent on refunding me anything, even the $130. Instead, Sam replied with baseless insults to deflect. I told Sam I would be seeking mediation from Thumbtack and reporting him to the State Board of Examiners if he did not provide me a full refund, as originally committed. After more insults and threats to report my home to the city, Sam relented and provided the full refund. Needless to say, if you want work done correctly by an honest contractor, Sam is NOT your guy.
