I hired David to install a custom front door, build and install a small door for the crawl space and for some miscellaneous small jobs around the house (replacing the locks, fixing the fence gate, replacing an outside window apron damaged by dry rot etc.). He is an honest and thorough professional! I was looking for a handyman after our formerly honest contractor gave us a ridiculous quote for misc. work around the house on top of some remodeling work. I found David Gomes on Thumbtack and reached out to him based on all the great reviews others had left, I’m not surprised that I am yet another very satisfied customer. He first stopped by to take measurements and gave me quotes which I thought were honest and competitive. I couldn’t hire him for another month while we waited to close the house and for the custom order of the door to get delivered etc. Once the door was ready, I texted Gomes, he came straight to the store with his truck and picked up the door. He also advised me against buying misc. fixtures for the door from the same store where I ordered the custom door as I could be getting a better price at Home Depot. He ordered the parts he needed from Home Depot on his own credit card and gave me the receipt after completing the work. It took him and another person he brought along about 4 hours to complete all the work.
I’m a very satisfied customer, not only am I already going to hire him for more jobs (ex: window replacement, patching dry walls), I will also be recommending him to my friends and colleagues!

They were responsive and accommodating, but I had to explain how to install a door to the handyman, discussing what kind of work is required for mounting a replacement (rather than pre-hung). He was even willing to walk away from the job without one door being able to fully latch/lock, claiming that’s extra charge.
Because I happen to be there to talk through the work, it all ended well and the quality was acceptable, but I am not convinced the job would have been done correctly if I had not been there.

Ayuuk construction was very responsible and finished the door installation in time, even if it meant stretching the time a little bit longer or coming in early in the morning to get things right and finish the task within stipulated time. They were very responsive to the messages and source materials quickly as needed.
