I would highly recommend Georgie to anyone looking for a great plumber. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Not only did he explain everything in detail while fixing the problem, but he went above and beyond in giving recommendations around the house. I learned a lot about the general condition of our home plumbing system and he didn’t try to oversell on things we didn’t need. I will be using Georgie again for all our future plumbing needs and I’m even having him come back for an unrelated plumbing issue. 5 stars all the way and would highly recommend!

I had a bathtub faucet that was leaking. There was no access panel to get to the pipes. Paul suggested replacing both stems first. That fixed it but required some effort because the plumbing was really old. Best of all his pricing was reasonable given the work he put in. I was happy with his service.

Erik is a friendly and passionate guy who takes pride in his work. He fixed my clogged sink pipes and helped install my water filter fairly efficiently, but his attention to detail was amazing. Quality work for a reasonable price, I’d definitely recommend him for any plumbing issues.

After reviewing the situation they recommended a more cost effective solution since I never used the water line in the backyard; Even charged me a very fair price for a weekend service call. Bryan has done a great job installed a new faucet and a RO water system. He not only installed all the equipments perfectly, but also tested the system thoroughly to ensure no leaking. I replaced my old water heater with tankless water heater and he had a good knowledge about products and the replacement process. He communicated well before he started his work and he gave me the information what to consider to buy water heater. He was very diligent and he completed the job in right way without cutting the corner. After water heater replacement is done, I asked him to replace my main shut off valve and leaked outside faucet and he did very well. The quality of work he performed is very good and he charged me very reasonable price . I highly recommend him for the water heater replacement and plumbing related job. I will definitely hire him again for my new plumbing project.

Donnie arrived early, went to work immediately and diagnosed my problem quickly. I appreciate the fact he also educated me on a number of concerns I had about the plumbing in my house. He also identified another potential leak in my kitchen which he will fix for me. He checked my water pressure and advised me I need a water pressure regulator to decrease water pressure. Donnie will install for me next week. His prices are very reasonable. I would definitely hire him again and will refer him to others. Great service.

I would 100% recommend Effective Plumbing Service. George is very knowledgeable, professional, and prices are much reasonable than others. The customer service is excellent. I had called other companies and plumbers come to check the water shut off problem, and they made things very complicated and gave an crazy estimate cost. But after 3 days without water using in my house, I finally found George. He fixed the problem and get the water back just within an hour! Thank you George for exceeding my expectations. I encourage everyone don’t waste your time and money, if these was any water issues call George right away.

We had a horrible experience with Alex and Propel Plumbing. I hesitate to write negative reviews, especially on small businesses, because I am always rooting for them to succeed. However, there comes a point in time where it would be negligent of me not to share our experience with those new potential customers.
We found this company on Thumbtack. He had great reviews. 5 stars. Seemed legit. Professional. Reliable. Reasonably priced. You know… the stuff any new customer would look for. Also seemed like a small company… perhaps one owner - all for it.
On 11/13/24 at 1:37 PM, we reached out to this company via Thumbtack requesting assistance with one of our toilets. Fairly simple. Nothing crazy. Within a matter of seconds, we got a response from Alex. Very responsive. We scheduled the appointment for Friday, November 15th at 9 AM.
Friday rolls around. 9 AM rolls around. Don’t hear anything from Alex. Noon passes and still nothing. Mind you, I texted and called him with negative results. Around 4:30 PM, Alex called me and apologized. Based on our phone conversation, I learned he had to attend to some unforeseen yet crucial issue in Costa Mesa for an unrelated job. I appreciated him calling me and letting me know even if it was late in the day. I get it. Stuff happens. He agreed to come the following day (Saturday morning, 11/16/24) at 08:00 AM to fix our toilet. Promises he would take care of us blah, blah, blah.
Saturday rolls around. 8 AM rolls around. Don’t hear anything from Alex. The whole day passes. Nothing. I reach out but was unsuccessful.
Pretty weak if you ask me. No accountability. No regard for customers. Just very weak and unprofessional. I had one more chance left in me. I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
On Monday (11/18), I call him at 8:52 AM. We talk for one minute. He was pretty non-chalant… almost like he was trying to brush everything under the rug and pretended like he didn’t really remember me. However, he confirms with me via phone that we are on his schedule for a new appointment this Friday (11/22) at 8:00 AM. He would be there. No problem.
On Thursday (11/21), I texted him at 3:36 PM advising him that I would “see him tomorrow morning 🤙” to which he responded, “Yes 👍”
Friday the 22nd rolls around. 8 AM rolls around. Nothing. Silence. Totally ghosts me again. 8:15 AM still nothing. No text, no call, no heads up… you get where I am going with this? Same old same old. At 8:23 AM, I texted him the following message: “Alex I hope you fix whatever issues you have going on man because what you are doing and how you have led us on is really really bad for business.” He responded 13 minutes later with “On my way”. I replied, “How long” and he did not respond… even to my calls. At that point, I had enough and told him his assistance was no longer needed.
Mind you, we have a life. We have stuff to do. You know, like trying to make a living. We work. It was truly amazing to see how little he values his customer’s time. We were totally played. Totally led on. Such a waste of time. What was baffling about the whole ordeal was the fact that he has all of these 5 star reviews across different platforms, especially Thumbtack where we discovered him. It really makes you question the legitimacy of his business, but more importantly, the legitimacy of his prior reviews and whether they were generated by actual customers or done by friends and family.
Needless to say, once we send the review over to Thumbtack as well we are immediately deleting the app and will never be using it again. Terrible. Frustrating. Unprofessional. Non-existent customer service.
