Reviews for Corona business phone installation services
Ashley B.
Prior to reaching out to Avery via Thumbtack, I had the misfortune of dealing with an "installation" guy from AT&T. I live in Corona in an area that invariably has bad internet service. I used Spectrum cable at first, and after realizing that their service was terrible, even though I was paying for the fastest "business" internet service, I opted for AT&T's fiber optic internet with 1 gb of download speed. We only have a 2100 sq foot home, but for some reason, the wifi only worked within a 30 ft range. With Spectrum the download speed was 9 Mbps and the connection speed (upload speed) was around 3 to 5 Mbps. According to Spectrum, I was suppose to have 200Mbps, and AT&T guaranteed me 1,000Mbps, but it was nearly the same as Spectrum.
After the AT&T guy spent 6 hours working on our house he finally got it to work, but only to leave exposed wires and internet speeds that were no better than Spectrum. He then said that he would be back the following day to finish the job--he never came back. Good riddance! But before this individual left he suggested that we purchase a $1200 Orbi mesh extender at Best Buy.
But something told me that this was not the way to go. We then started to look for electricians whom focused on networking and came across Avery.
Avery was a professional through and through. When we reached out to him via Thumbtack, he replied with a set of questions for us to answer so that he could properly diagnose our problem, and after one or two efficient and concise messages, he gave us a call and came over that same evening. Once here, he suggested that we run CAT6 network cables throughout the house. He also suggested we put up two different access points on opposite ends of our house so that we could also have strong wifi.
He did say, however, that since all the televisions were going to be hardwired, that it would not be necessary to use wifi, but since our children have iPads and we use our phones for streaming videos, we kept the wifi.
He came a few days later with a crew of two additional men, which were a delight to work with. The men worked fast, and constantly cleaned up as they went along. The job took about 6 hours, but the results were well worth the wait! I now have download speeds as high as 900Mbps and upload speeds as high as 300Mbps. If you're a gamer these are the speeds you need to be in for an optimal gaming experience. Before his arrival our televisions also experienced heavy spinning, which now is non- existent. I have never been more satisfied with a service provided like this one. I am definitely going to be using his services again for surveillance camera installation. This is now my go-to guy for all things tech!
One last thing, Avery also mounted a television in the game room. He even went so far as to set the proper height for me while I sat down as to avoid strain on my neck while I play video games. The amount of detail this man goes through cannot be emphasized enough!
