Chris is hands down the best instructor. He is extremely friendly, patient, and professional. I started with almost no experience as a drummer and have gained a lot of skills and confidence working with him. If you are on the fence about taking drum lessons, I say go for it!!

I started drum lessons with Chris in November of 16 and am currently still a weekly student.
Chris's professionalism and willingness to cater to my specific needs is second to none.
He has to date, turned me from a beginner student to a novice drummer with a dozen or so songs in my portfolio.
He has helped me build my drum kit with as much excitement as I have had.
Chris is an excellent instructor and a great guy.

Chris was an awesome instructor. Unfortunately, I was working in the area on a short-term contract, and I am no longer traveling to Tacoma. but, during my time in Tacoma, he was able to asses my current skills and abilities and tailor my lessons accordingly. At each session, he pushed me just far enough to keep me progressing without allowing me to become frustrated. At the times when I just wasn't 'getting it', he always taught me a different way to approach it until I was able to perform what he was teaching. As a corporate trainer, I can attest to his ability to teach and address different learning styles and ability levels. I've also seen him play with his band several times, and he has great command of the drum kit. In addition to his playing and teaching ability, he is also just a really nice guy. I would definitely recommend him to anybody of any age or skill level.
