Chris is incredibly knowledgeable and widely experienced with the drums. His capability to adapt his teaching to the learning styles of his students has made it very accessible for people of different age groups to learn. He makes the lessons and techniques engaging, and easily practicable by breaking it down to the basic components, and explains drumming concepts in a very relatable context. I highly recommend him!

My daughter has had a great experience working with Chris. She can't wait for her drum lesson each week. Chris is always positive and very encouraging. He challenges her with new concepts without getting her frustrated. Chris makes it fun but also stresses the importance of practice and the discipline it takes to improve and succeed. Chris is providing a great foundation for a beginning drummer like my daughter.

Chris was an awesome instructor. Unfortunately, I was working in the area on a short-term contract, and I am no longer traveling to Tacoma. but, during my time in Tacoma, he was able to asses my current skills and abilities and tailor my lessons accordingly. At each session, he pushed me just far enough to keep me progressing without allowing me to become frustrated. At the times when I just wasn't 'getting it', he always taught me a different way to approach it until I was able to perform what he was teaching. As a corporate trainer, I can attest to his ability to teach and address different learning styles and ability levels. I've also seen him play with his band several times, and he has great command of the drum kit. In addition to his playing and teaching ability, he is also just a really nice guy. I would definitely recommend him to anybody of any age or skill level.

Chris is hands down the best instructor. He is extremely friendly, patient, and professional. I started with almost no experience as a drummer and have gained a lot of skills and confidence working with him. If you are on the fence about taking drum lessons, I say go for it!!
