My sister was getting proposed to two days out, so this was a last minute booking. K Michael was incredible! He reached out within 10 minutes of booking the appointment and was reassuring, informative, SUPER communicative, professional, and exactly what we needed! He was in contact with me from the get go and arrived to the proposal early to make sure he was hidden in plain sight. He captured the proposal moment perfectly and was able to take photos of the happy couple afterwards. My sister stated "It was so so special and perfect and I am over the moon about everything." He really helped capture the moment for her, I could not be more grateful. Especially on such short notice.

I am writing this review with immense disappointment regarding the services provided by Derrick as the photographer and videographer for my friend's engagement party. Initially, Derrick displayed professionalism and responsiveness, but unfortunately, his behavior took a drastic turn once full payment was made. We had a signed contract clearly stating that the deliverables, including both pictures and videos, would be provided within three weeks. Regrettably, Derrick failed to adhere to this agreed-upon timeline, and my experience was marred by several issues.
After waiting patiently for four weeks without receiving anything from Derrick, I decided to reach out to him to inquire about the status of the pictures and videos. To my dismay, the pictures I eventually received were minimally edited and fell far short of professional quality. When I raised my concerns about the videos, Derrick brushed it off, claiming that video production takes longer. While I understood the time required for videos, I gave him an additional month to complete them. However, when I followed up with him again, he responded with nothing more than vague promises of delivering them "soon" without providing any specific timeline.
Despite my extended patience and granting him an extra two weeks, Derrick continued to ignore my attempts to communicate through texts and emails. Frustrated after four months of waiting, I decided to involve Thumbtack by opening a case against him. It was only then that Derrick finally responded, citing an emergency as the reason for his lack of communication. However, considering his previous behavior, I found it challenging to trust his explanation and doubted whether he had any of my videos at all. It took five months after the event for him to submit the videos.
Not only did Derrick fail to fulfill our agreement, which involved capturing short videos of guest messages for the newly engaged couple, but he also neglected to capture a significant number of pictures. Moreover, the videos he eventually provided were of subpar quality, falling well below the professional standard I had expected. Derrick was hired for a five-hour duration specifically to capture pictures and videos.
Engagement party is a once-in-a-lifetime moment that cannot be recreated. It is exceedingly disappointing that the person we entrusted to capture this significant occasion failed to deliver, ultimately tarnishing the memories that should have been preserved forever. I strongly caution against hiring Derrick for any photography or videography services, as his lack of professionalism, failure to meet deadlines, and subpar work quality have left me feeling extremely dissatisfied and regretful of my decision.
