Hello there! I’m William Fields, a dedicated and passionate photographer/videographer based in Washington, DC. My love of photography was born out of my love of travel. While exploring other countries and cultures, I was using my phone to document the people that I met and the places that I have been. This led me to buy my first professional-level camera; it has been with me ever since. Immersing myself in the world of photography has allowed me to capture the raw, intimate, and joyful moments that make each wedding unique. With a keen eye for detail and a profound understanding of light and composition, I strive to produce images that reflect the love and emotion of your special day. I consider my photography style to be timeless, as I aim to create photos that couples can treasure forever. I can’t rave enough about how great my experience working with William at Fourth Photography was. I was a bit concerned heading into my surprise engagement because with the timing of the proposal the lighting was not going to be great. He assured me that there was nothing to be concerned about and he would make sure he was prepared with equipment to handle it. He was super responsive and very professional throughout the entire experience. He offered me the most reasonable quote that I was offered when looking for photographers, and the pictures were STUNNING. I am hoping to be able to work with Fourth again on a future project because of how great my experience was.

William did a great job on my husband’s 50th birthday photo shoot. He was great at communicating leading up to the day, and provided the creative direction and options we needed during the shoot. The digital photos were available to us very soon after the shoot and turned out great! William has a warm personality and was wonderful to work with. We look forward to hiring him again for the birthday party.

I was so happy I found William and his photography company when I did, I was in a time crunch when my current photographer was not able to take pictures at my daughter’s sweet 16 sneaker ball party. William was responsive, helpful and took some amazing shots of the party! Very pleased and would hire him again if needed!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are flexible to a degree. I always like to be fair. I never go over the price I quote unless the customer ask for something that would require an additional fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Have face to face/virtual conversation to get their expectations. Allow both sides to ask and answer any questions. Try to have examples of the type of work they are requesting if known ahead of time.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a fascination with photography. At the start of the pandemic I had more time to dedicate to this.
