James Cox came to our home, which we rent, to assess smoke damage after an electrical fire in our crawl space. He was very professional and took multiple photos of the damage, encouraging us to look watch him while he looked around so that he could show us the damage. While he was there, he discovered a live wire in the crawl space that started sparking when he touched it, so he immediately advised us to call the fire department. He stayed with us several hours until the fire department left, and he shared his photos with us and the fire department officials for recordkeeping. He did all of this, I might add, for no fee. Because we are renters, we don't have the authority to hire him for the job of odor removal, but we are certainly advising the owner of the property to hire him. We completely trust his work, and we were so grateful for his thorough inspection of the crawl space, which could have prevented a second major fire from occurring. The fire marshal immediately cut all electricity to the home, saying that we were very fortunate that another fire had not started, and if it weren't for James Cox's dedication to his work, I might not be sharing this story. My husband and I will certainly recommend NOVAFMS to our friends and family.
