We're very happy with how the two rooms turned out. We also had a fairly large patio poured and some smaller projects within the house. All turned out well. We had a few companies bid on the work. David's prices are competitive and the work is good quality. I never felt like he was trying to upsell me or find extra work--he just did his best to deliver what we needed. He was very responsive and involved throughout all the projects, and always took time to answer questions and respond to concerns. I would trust him and his team with remodeling projects in the future."See more

I spent the entire next day with 3 other people cleaning dust from the sanding of the wood off of walls, floors, carpet, furniture, inside drawers, pictures, counters. My recommendation is to budget in a cleaning service after the project."See more

He got it all put up without issue and it looks gorgeous! You can tell he's done this stuff a long time and is very particular about the details. Every corner is perfect. I found Carlos on Thumbtack to help my mom remodel her basement. He is a very nice guy and I was impressed with his professionalism. He did not end up completing the project that he bid but that was through no fault of his own. His quality of work was good and I had no complaints. I appreciated his professionalism throughout the entire process. I have 3 issues that prevent me from rating him 5 stars: 1. His pricing is very reasonable but we never received a detailed breakdown in writing. He sent one text message to my mother that showed the total price but it had no additional details about what was included on the bid. The day he finished work he showed me more detailed pricing on his phone but never sent me or my mother any copies of that for our records. 2. Very similar to reason 1: After Carlos sent the first bid my mother she wanted to add a few things. I found it odd that Carlos then resubmitted the bid cheaper than the first one. There were also several miscommunications after that about what was and wasn't on the bid. I admit that some of this could very well have been our fault but combined with never sending us a fully detailed original bid made me suspicious that he lost the original bid and was making things up as he went along. 3. Im a journeyman plumber and I did the plumbing work for this project. While I was pulling up this page to write a review I noticed he had a picture of MY work in his photos. Hopefully he takes that down so as not to mislead future customers.
