FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Remodeling comes with unknowns, your contractor may give you a price for $10,000 to remodel a bathroom but after demo may find bad wiring, a vent in the wrong location or a subfloor that is rotted. Be aware that invoices should be accurate but there are unknowns that can cost more… always set aside an extra 20% as a cushion and hopefully you don’t have to touch it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step is to meet and get a rough idea of your dream, take this information and create a quick estimate of cost as soon as possible. If three home owner is happy with the rough number we’re spend a few hours getting into every small detail of that dream possible, colors, patterns, directions, ect. Create a design and a detailed estimate to give the most accurate idea of the time and cost of the project. After this we get a deposit from the home owner to purchase all materials for the project ahead of time, build a full schedule, plan a start date, sign a contract and begin the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education has been on the job training for over two decades and learning from other skilled professions.
