The tech started out only saying he was cleaning the dryer duct, I reminded him that I had scheduled for an estimate for the duct cleaning and cleaning out the air duct, but only an estimate for the ducky cleaning!
He insisted checked each area and determine that it needed to be done immediately because there was mold present, which could be harmful and that he could get it done in one hour he contacted his company they sent me a estimate. I said one hour and he said yes, one hour OK so he started in, he was supervised by a friend of mine who was here who made sure he did each area that was supposed to be done. He brought in a vacuum. I asked if I needed to relocate anything to save it from getting dirty or dusty or damaged and he said no, he would cover it and take care of that and clean up afterwards. Approximately two hours he was finished with the duct cleaning and still had to do the dryer duct. He asked us to sit outside while he finished the return ducting area when we came back in side he was practically running and getting all of his equipment, including the vacuum out of the house, I asked my friend to check and see if all the mess had been cleaned up because there was a lot of dust and rock like things on the floor in each area where a duct had been cleaned. There was a lot of mess left, including a lot of fluid of some sort on the master hallway floor. He announced that I would be getting the bill from the company which was the amount that they quoted until I checked off that I was paying by credit card because the website says they accept credit card debit card, cash, etc. and then the price went up. I complained about that and was told that there was a 40 some dollar fee by there financial company for taking a credit card I was not told that in advance or I would've postponed the cleaning and paid cash so 1675? It was 1750? These are approximate amounts. As soon as the bill was paid, he already had his stuff in his truck and left. Then I went to each room to check and my friend and I spent the next three hours Cleaning up the mess that he left behind including having to mop up the water that was in the main hall and sweeping from areas behind furniture that was not covered as he said he would and I'm still finding mess. My daughter came over later and spent another hour with a broom and vacuum cleaning up more. Also, the return vent covers were not put on correctly. They were in completely different screw areas. One screw was missing and instead of being placed above the floor molding as they were originally they were placed on the floor molding left a gap at the top of them so my family and I had to replace those getting them screwed into the proper outlet unfortunately I had already put a good review but I am replacing that review and I want to let Thumbtack as well as space duck know that I am not sure whether it was Eddie the tech that just decided he was running late and had to leave quickly or if that's their usual way of finishing up a job, but it was terrible and I would not recommend them to anybody
