Shortcuts and poor installation practices were utilized and this has costed me significantly in additional money and time for fixing these mistakes. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of these things until much later on.
- A pair of corner upper wall cabinets were not hung by the main cabinet rail in the back of the cabinet but rather they were hanging by one screw on each side from the top of the cabinet to the ceiling. The cabinets would have inevitably fallen down and potentially create damage to the countertop and liability with renters. Shortcuts were also covered up with non-installed camlock screws hanging over the metal rail and with plastic covers over them.
- The extension of the existing wall and new drywall was 1/2" in front of the original wall. studs were out of alignment offseting new drywall from existing drywall. Additionally, the wall was poorly textured. I had to hire a professional drywall company for a full day to fix this and he mentioned half of his work comes from failed drywall work.
- Contractor installed 2 romex electrical cables for a pair of light switches--for one romex cable all of the wires were wired as hot. This is a clear fire hazard. For the other romex cable, all of the wires were converted to switch legs. No allowance was made for proper neutral return wiring and an additional romex cable should have been installed.
4) The contractor misgauged drilling into both the microwave and microwave cabinet, both ruining the cabinet's ability to support the microwave and also ended up destroying the female thread in the microwave. Both cabinet and microwave ended up being irrepairable. After this happened it was clear to me to move on.
5) All work and time was paid for. A few days later when the invoice was requested for tax purposes, the contractor ignored my correspondence.

Great workers in Austin are difficult to find these days. If you have stumbled upon this review, you’re lucky. You need to look further into this company, they are awesome! I purchased some bathroom cabinets from “cabinets to go“ and thought I could do the assembly/install myself, I’m pretty handy. WRONG! I am very thankful I came upon this company. The guys who did the installation were not only professional, but courteous, kind, and meticulous. Even though I had several “hiccups“ with the installation of other subcontractors, (which delayed my timeline), they were pleasant and happy to accommodate the difficulties in scheduling. They do many other things other than cabinet installation so you can bet your life I will be calling them again for any projects I have in the future. In the crazy Austin world of renovation, these guys are a welcomed professional team. My sincere thanks to these amazing gentlemen.

I was designer of a project. These guys came and installed a couple of cabinets, so that we could do a soffit above it. I found out they had made a mistake in leveling the floor cabinets. After the client told them, they first refused to accept. They came in and checked, and then disappeared. No response to calls. They had got more than 70% of money from the client, and left her with a defected job whose demo and reinstall cost the client twice. I will never use them in any other project of mine. They were not familiar with IKEA installation, super slow, and unprofessional.
