Do Not Hire DBM Homes – Incompetent and Unreliable
We hired DBM in May 2024 for a project they promised to complete in 91 days—yet nine months later, by February 17, 2025, it was still just halfway finished. We were without a kitchen for six of those months and could not get any urgency from DBM. In the rare case that they did answer the phone, we would get a litany of excuses and empty promises. They repeatedly failed to follow their own schedule, claiming after the original delay that they would “definitely” be done by Thanksgiving. They left us in the dark—it was a guessing game every morning whether they would even show up—and showed no urgency in meeting deadlines.
Worse, they lied to us three times about having a permit with the city, once claiming that they “made a special phone call to the city.” This cost us thousands of additional dollars in expert and permit fees and left us at risk of having to rip up work they had already done.
On top of that, they had unqualified general laborers handling complex tasks like electrical and plumbing instead of licensed professionals.
Their customer service is the worst we’ve ever experienced. Their so-called “project manager” has no construction experience and is extremely rude—at one point telling us, “you can’t call me so much.” Meanwhile, Trish, the owner, is extremely cheap and uses the company as a front to move money, causing ridiculous delays in ordering even the most basic supplies. Even though we paid a fair amount for the project, she constantly nickel-and-dimed every aspect, refusing to hire professionals and instead forcing her own employees—who were not qualified—to do specialized work for less. As a result, their workers often show up without the materials they need and sit around for hours waiting for them to be dropped off. This happened dozens of times.
They also don’t properly pay their subcontractors or employees. In the nine months we worked with them, we saw at least 15 employees quit or get fired due to the company’s complete dysfunction.
Their incompetence forced us to bring in specialists to fix their mess. This company is the epitome of a contractor nightmare. If you want a project done right, avoid DBM at all costs.

Very satisfied with the patio project the guys did! The project was completed in a short time yet looks very clean and of high quality. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for home remodeling work!
