Absolutely wonderful! I have a 90-year-old mother who lives two hours away and needed to have a toilet replaced. Summary as review is very long:
1. They didn’t measure the area for toilet bowl and tank hence they have damaged the toilet by having to cut our basin marble like slab which will now cost a lot to fix. Asked for more money instead of giving any discount for this issue. They also got the wrong toilet with the clear cut Home depot receipt and Samuel had to return this and waste work time.
2. Gave a flat rate initially and then after work was done, added “tax” naming it “%” in the invoice to give a new rate after work. They never mentioned tax in the flat-rate.
3. Their company names can’t be found online. No ID presented. (Didn’t ask for it either). It says Eagle Eye Plumbing but invoice says " Vleyz Plumbing Services". They don't speak English except a 17yr old who handles everything.
4. Inspite of talking about 90 day guarantee, they refused to come next day or even later and fix the problems they left including leaking valve and comode seat being too loose. They have excuses not to come eg broken truck, boss won’t allow etc. I could not speak to the mysterious " Boss" about this.
5. Gave excuses and blamed us for the problems rather than apologising for their mistakes.
6. Whole conversation and dealings by an inexperienced 17 Yr old who started these work at 16. No English by main people involved.
7. Insisted I give 5 stars review so they can get bonuses.

1. Samuel a 17 Yr old boy handles the communications of this so called company. He goes around possibly with his dad to fix things. I’m not sure if they are licensed plumbers. His dad doesn't speak English so can't communicate properly to the person doing the job.
He works with his dad and this mysterious licensed “Boss” who can’t speak English.
2. He (later said I was talking to his 'boss') promised me a flat rate quote of $580 after negotiations on phone for installing three toilet bowls. He promised 90 day guarantee for any problems whatsoever. I said I would choose the commodes from home depot; but that they need to come to our house first to measure and assess what they need before they pick up the toilets from home depot.
3. Samuel (a generally nice polite boy) arrived with his grumpy “partner”, likely his dad who is an experienced plumber. They arrived very late at 3.30pm right after another job. They were supposed to come around 12pm. After seeing the toilets and reconfirming the flat rate to be given in cash, I gave them the home depot receipt. They didn’t have any ID to display. However they returned with one wrong toilet inspite of clear receipt. They didn’t check before getting them.
4. Samuel returned the wrong toilet and got the correct one while his dad worked.
5. They quickly fixed two toilets and then suddenly called us that they had attached the last toilet to the floor but that the tank is not fitting the area due to a marble like ledge across the basin. We were shocked they had not measured the area and matched it with the American standard measurements before fixing the toilet to the ground. That is the job of a professional/plumber, or else we could DIY.
6. They tried to blame us for getting wrong toilet bowls and not measuring the area. We said it’s their job to check and pointed out that we showed them instructions on box to check area/ measurements. They had opened and fixed the commode without measuring which is extremely unprofessional.
Anyway We asked for the solution - whether they should return this toilet to get smaller one piece one or to cut the marble like slab. They said they would have to charge for going to home depot again and taking out the wrongly put in toilet.
7. They decided to cut the slab but wanted to charge $100. We refused and asked to change the toilet instead - they said boss won’t allow but they’ll cut the slab from their own. We agreed unwillingly.
8. The dad cut the slab extremely unevenly and unprofessionally and now we have to cover this area to hide it. We now also have to replace the surface totally as it looks bad. The whole house was full of dust as they left the toilet door open. They stepped on our black new BBQ cover in the backyard and left chunks of plaster. They finished after 4 hrs at 8 pm as they started late. However they did take the old toilet and boxes away.
9. We let it go and checked the toilets quickly and went to get cash as they refused to take Zelle. They charged $640 with tax but didn’t write tax on the invoice. We mentioned they asked a flat rate $580 and didn’t mention of tax. Finally paid them. We gave $20 for tips. I had made a nice taco/ burger lunch for them earlier - on hindsight, not sure if it was a good idea as people cant focus after eating.
10. Right after they left, I checked and found a slow leak of one of the bidet taps. Immediately I texted and chatted with Samuel who didn’t seem so cooperative anymore.. he told me to fix it myself. I said I don’t do DIY hence hired them. (Also another tap is missing from a bidet shower, but as its not leaking, I didn't mention it to them. Additionally one seat cover keeps falling down. )
11. then starts their avoidance to my texts next morning and after I call the phone number on invoice - he replies. Btw the invoice was named a different company and not eagle eye. They people on the phone can’t speak English and denied knowing Samuel!! I couldn’t find any trace of these two companies online. I’m just glad they didn’t run off with the toilets at this point!
After Samuel responds- starts arguments on text about fixing the leak. He then blames it first on this damaged car and then his “boss” who won’t talk to me. His boss is supposedly very upset and angry about the tax and slab cutting. So now they are refusing to come and fix the leak and blaming the car and the boss. I reported to thumbtack who will investigate through safety and trust team.
12. Forgot to mention Samuel had insisted to me at the door to give 5 stars to their review here saying their boss will give them bonus. I told him I’m not happy with their mistakes but felt sorry for him and gave it. Now I’m updating the review with advice from thumbtack. He kept defending and giving excuses until the last minute.
13. Learning lesson- either get a cheap handyman you know who will do the job properly or pay double to get a licensed professional with terms and conditions. These midway professionals are unreliable. If the measurement incidence and leak didn't happen - perhaps I'd be giving them a good review now.
14. It was an extremely bitter experience having moved to our first house in Miami after living in the Uk 17 years. My husband is furious at me for getting them!
I wrote a detailed review because this will be investigated and their boss needs to know our side. And you as customers can decide to get them or not. It’s fair I share my experience in detail in all honesty.
