Ron took my deposit of nearly $1000 a month ago. When installation day came, he said the wrong door had arrived. For 2 days he said he was "checking with his supplier".
I had also ordered a retractable screen door and asked if he could install that ASAP while we wait for the door.
I asked him many times when he could come and install the screen door. He strung me along for a couple more days and said he was "checking with his supplier". He never said when he could install the screen door. Nor did he ever let me know what his "supplier" had said about when the door would be shipped.
After this cat and mouse game, I told Ron that I made a mistake by hiring him and that I needed a full refund of my deposit. I told him that I must have my refund within 3 days.
This is my first HORRIBLE experience on Thumbtack. I have hired some great Pros with this app and they have honored their obligations with honor.
In this instance, that was not the case.

Bo from Pozder Builders was amazing. He installed a barn door for our master bath. He is very detail oriented and professional. He is punctual and communicative. I could tell he is a very experienced contractor and have recommended him to all of my neighbors. He even took out our big trash so we didn’t have to worry about that.
