Stella has the ability to identify problems upon seeing/listening only once, and her fun analogies animate the lessons.
Each lesson covers a wide range of trainings on finger strength, dexterity, techniques, ear training and music pieces. Her emphasis on pedaling was particularly instrumental to my improvement.
Overall, Stella has a comprehensive set of qualities that an excellent piano teacher needs - technicality, musicality, patience, punctuality and kindness - in a similar way that effective musical learning requires techniques, emotions, perseverance, accuracy and enjoyment. Her teaching synthesizes all these aspects with the aim of producing great music and a wonderful learning experience.

Very great teacher. She pays close attention to the students playing and is always able to provide useful feedback without being overly pedantic. She has a shrewd understanding of classical music and can identify important things to consider when playing a piece that would likely escape most teachers. Switching my teacher to Dr. Cohen has helped me get out of a small rut in my piano progress that I didn't know I was in.
Also, she is well set up for virtual lessons with two cameras (one of them fixed on the keyboard). And she switches to a drawing display for illustrating music theory concepts or anything else that needs a visual/written explanation.
