FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All rates listed are for lessons at either my apartment in Bed Stuy Brooklyn or my studio in Crown Heights Brooklyn. Do you prefer in-home lessons? I can come to you. For anywhere in Brooklyn and Manhattan, I'm asking an extra $20 for the commute. We can discuss what option will make most sense. Lessons are paid for at the end of each lesson. I accept cash, checks, Venmo, Paypal, and Zelle. I do also offer discounts on packages. Please talk to me if you are interested in committing to more than one lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My students have very different strengths and goals, so I try to avoid a template lesson structure or method. I usually work out a plan and a practice routine with everyone individually as needed. That being said, i do put great importance on building strong fundamentals like ear training and rhythm training, so that my students can learn to teach themselves. I believe teaching my process of studying and learning is more valuable than teaching any piano tricks I may know.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1) Bachelor's degree in Music Performance (Jazz) from the Jazz Institute, University Of The Arts, Berlin, Germany. 2) Master's degree in Music Performance (Jazz) from New York University.
