Heather is very easy to work with and her experience and personality made the whole event fun and exceeded expectations. As a business owner myself, it’s not often that I write a bad review for another business because I know how hard it is to build a reputation.
With that said however, we hired Robert to take photos for our holiday charity event. Offering free photos with Santa for our guests and planned to use the rest of the photos for our marketing newsletter and share with our charity partners for them to use as well. It’s now been over a month since our event and we were only provided with 52 photos after following up with him to receive them.
The package we purchased was $399 for up to 500 photos and 25 quality prints. We hired him for 3 hours and before leaving he said we’d have them back within one week. After 2 weeks of zero communication, and multiple guests asking us when they’d receive their Santa photos, I texted him asking when we could expect them back. 3 days later he responded saying he had an emergency with his other profession and would get them over that night. The next morning, still received nothing so I messaged him again and he ended up sending 52 of them via text. I asked if there were more photos since most of them were just duplicates of 10 actual pictures and he said he had the rest I could upload through a link. I asked him where I could access this link and another 3 days when by without a response.
I followed up again on the 3rd day saying I needed this link asap on 1/11/23 and have not heard from him since. I followed up again asking if the link had been sent to our email on 1/13/23 and again on 1/18/23 and still no response. Our event was on 12/22/22. Needless to say, my last text to him was saying how disappointed I was about the communication and overall experience and requested a refund. I don’t expect he will get back to me about that either. Which is what lead me here…
So word to the wise, do your research and really spend time interviewing your photographers. I would not recommend using Robert for your photography needs.
