After posting my repair request on Thumbtack, I received two calls almost immediately. I selected Sun because he was first (by minutes) and agreed to come same-day to repair my washing machine. He finished in less than an hour, and my washing machine is now working fine. He did an excellent job and quickly. So why am I giving only 3 stars? When it came time to pay, I said I would be using a credit card and he said I needed to use Zelle. I said no, I wanted to use my credit card and he asked if I had checks, of course I have checks, he then said please pay by check. I said that I live on a budget and manage my money monthly by using my credit card. He then said he gets less if I use credit card and he needed me to pay by check. I then gave him a check and the last thing I said to him as he walked out of my house was that he should make it clear on his website that he will not accept credit cards, to make it clear to his customers beforehand. After he left, I checked his website and it does in fact say his company accepts credit cards. In spite of the good job he did, I feel I was tricked somehow and that he was not honest with me, he never once said he actually does accept credit cards in lieu of cash. I won't be requesting his services again.
