After considering several options, we decided to work with ECO Star Remodeling, a trusted local company in Port Hueneme. Our first project with ECO Star Remodeling was the courtyard. Among other improvements, they removed the outdated concrete and replaced it with beautiful pavers. The previous drain was a small circular one, positioned several feet from the edges of the courtyard, which failed to effectively channel rainwater. Additionally, the slope leading to the drain was noticeable and affected furniture placement. ECO Star Remodeling recommended installing a linear drain along the edge of the new garage wall, which not only works flawlessly but also adds an aesthetic touch compared to the original small round drain. The slope of the new courtyard is very gentle and unobtrusive, with the transition from the house to the courtyard seamlessly maintained at almost the same level. This eliminated the need for any steps. Our second project was a full kitchen remodel, including new flooring. Based on our budget, ECO Star Remodeling recommended white Shaker cabinets and quartz countertops, which we absolutely love. We chose sleek bar handles, which complement the clean lines of the kitchen, and the “Carrara Mist” quartz countertop adds a touch of elegance. They also suggested adding a ledge to the window, which not only looks sophisticated but is also practical. At our request, they covered the cinder block walls, significantly improving the overall aesthetic. One of their other great ideas was to extend the flooring underneath the lower cabinets, which really enhances the flow and appearance of the space.
