Herbert was very helpful throughout the process and instructed me on how to measure for a new door. He then picked the door up and installed it at the first date I had requested. He explained the whole process very well and found quick solutions when little problems arose. We live in a very old home and are quickly learning that doors in older homes are quite tricky but he was able to install it and made sure everything was leveled so it opens/closes perfectly. We are very happy with our new door (just need to get around to painting it now) and will likely use Herbert for future home projects!

Mac arrived on time for the initial appointment. We walked through the house and told him what we would like to have fixed. He advised us along the way. And gave us a quote that day! We had 4 new doors installed, electrical work fixed, a window framed, and some drywall fixed. The day he and his apprentice arrived; we added on some plumbing work since the outside spicket broke.
The work was all completed in one day! We were very pleased!

Talk about curb appeal improvement! I'm so excited to be working with Steven! He is the complete embodiment of what you expect in a good handyman and more! From first communication to final caulking, Steven is phenomenal!
Steven is very easy to talk to. He called, reviewed the information from the app, and set the appointment. He made sure I understood what the project may entail and offered several cost effective options. He also followed up to confirm a couple of days before.
Steven arrived when he said. He made quick work of removing the doors and getting the area prepped for installation of the new ones. He ran into a few snags but worked them out pretty quickly.
When Steven finished, he made sure the area was cleaned before he left. He even came back the next day to do additional clean up on the exterior around the frame for a sharp finished look. He then took the time to walk through my house with me to get details on future projects!
Steven is an absolute joy and very knowledgeable! I am looking forward to my future projects!

We hired this handyman to do door instal, baseboards and quarter rounds instal and and it turned into an absolute nightmare. After agreeing on a price, he suddenly increased it, and we reluctantly accepted, only for him to fail at every turn. He didn’t even handle the prep work he promised, forcing us to drop everything to do it ourselves. Throughout the project, he was hostile and made us feel threatened. We had to tell him we might have to call the police as he was getting more and more hostile with each interaction. He skipped entire areas, like the closets, and wasted materials by cutting them into unusable pieces. When we sent him pics of the job he admitted they looked bad and would comeback to fix it but then used “being on a vacation” as an excuse not to return to finish the job. On top of that, he left a mess of wood pieces and sawdust that we had to clean up. This is not just bad craftsmanship; it’s a complete lack of professionalism. The baseboards and quarter rounds were very expensive. We are now forced to pay someone else to fix this disaster, and we’re initiating a dispute with Thumbtack to recover our money for the wasted materials and additional costs. Plenty of material was provided and it’s still sitting there. See the pictures and decide for yourself if you want to use him or not.
