Hi my name is Grace! I am a mother of 3 crazy boys with a passion/drive for gardening! If I’m not with my kids, you will usually find me covered head to toe in soil with a bunch of plants & garden tools listening to my podcast, digging around in my clients gardens! I’ve always worked in gardens growing up along side my mom so when the opportunity came to work with plants for a job I was all in! 7 years ago I started working for my friends father, Mr. Stemmler at his garden center in blue point/Bayport . I learned what was what (perennials/annuals/shrubs/trees/herbs/veggies), how to grow , when to grow, how to propagate & prune, when, where & how much water..” Eventually they switched the garden center to an organic veg/herb farm! As I continued to work I steadily branched out on my own working for home owners in their gardens. Establishing a client base full of truly amazing,kind and understanding humans. I truly found where I am meant to be career wise in gardening maintenance and small landscape design projects. I haven’t looked back since! I service gardens/yards weekly, monthly or for the big clean ups in the spring & fall or whatever you prefer. Below are a list of some of the services I offer… • Cleaning up garden beds (leaves/weeds/etc) • Planting annuals, perennials, small shrubs and some smaller trees • Weeding! • Laying out top soils, compost, mulching • Pruning plants in fall and/or spring or throughout summer as needed (Different plants/shrubs/trees require different Pruning times) • creating new garden beds • creating vegetable gardens/fruit gardens Companion planting, placing them in proper area based on diff environmental factors • Will rake leaves that are in the garden beds (I do NOT do lawn care (NO mowing/sodding) • For pesticides and herbicides I do prefer to use OMRI safe sprays (first choice is always neem oil) • Edging • Create garden beds (landscape design) . Where plants should be placed/spaced. What type of perennial/shrub/tree should go based on sunlight hours and space needed to grow in future. *I do work by myself , occasionally if the job requires an extra I have one other amazing human being I can rely on but for the most part I come and put my all into every single home.
