Nate broke it down, made it easy to mess up and keep going without being discouraged. He believed I could play more than I did. But I got there his easy, but insightful way of teaching broke it into chunks I could readily consume. Before I knew it the building blocks came together. You never know what you can do until you try. Nate made learning it easy, laid back, fun but all solidly rooted in / backed with music theory. Raven C. says, "i appreciated teles’ enthusiasm, knowledge and guidance. he has a lot to offer as a teacher and i gained valuable skills in music theory, understanding that there’s room for mistakes and not everything will be perfect, and scales! unfortunately our communication styles led to misunderstandings and our personal values just did not quite align. i did learn a lot in my time with him but decided to move on due to personal compatibility issues. despite this, i am so grateful for the lessons learned and will always cherish him as my honorary first teacher. he even reached out to me to have an open discussion about our discord and i really appreciated that and even gave me time to process and prepare for when i was ready to address them, which i feel shows willingness to learn from his students, past and present. i think anyone would be lucky to have such a kind, supportive teacher who is also just a human, like the rest of us."See more
