I'm a two time Student Emmy winning composer. I have very creative ideas in trying to help students learn piano concepts. My goal is to keep them interested so that they continue progressing and get to their goal of playing the piano well, and enjoying it. I played piano for BYU's Ballet classes where all I did was sight read thick binders of piano music for the dancers. Then I moved on to play for Modern Dance classes where I would play with no music, so I know how to sight read and improvise music on the spot really well. I would love to help you be able to do the same because those two skills are so fun and valuable to be able to do.
I like being able to help students learn piano in a way that is less frustrating than I had to experience. Luckily I was eventually able to learn how to sight read REALLY well, and so I play for things all the time, and that effort pays for itself more and more all the time. I like seeing students get to a similar proficiency where they're proud of what they've accomplished, and they feel that their efforts have definitely paid off.See more
