Dui: I hired this attorney on 11/26/2018 #1 because she was the cheapest, #2 because of the story she sold me when she solicited her business to me online by saying things like, I know the prosecutor, the judge and with your case I should be able to get the results you want with you blowing a .08 and all. Ms Coleman 29 yrs of experience is as a lawyer, not a dui attorney and I would bet that the majority of her cases are Not DUI'S. She referred me to a court that was not beneficial to me and according to the defense attorney there who deal with veterans was the wrong court I should be attending.(veteran's treatment court) Ms coleman repeatedly told me that my license was suspended even though I had not been convicted of anything. That was another wrong statement. After paying her her $1500 the only way I could reach her was by text message and even those most often was not responded to promptly. I would text her and she would respond and then I would decide to call her right after texting and she would reply "I'm on the phone or I'm in a meeting" Reaching this woman to discuss the direction my case was going or to address my concerns, requests, and suggestions was very difficult to do. Ms Coleman did not plan on even getting my police report to the entire incident until the day before court. After I went to the police station and purchase my police report, Ms Coleman, a hired lawyer of mine ask me to send her a copy of the police report. Ms coleman attended one court date with me before she decided to stop representing me. That's right, this attorney quit on me. This attorney told me to seek advice from another attorney, and to not speak with her until I had spoken with another lawyer all while I had already hired her and we attended one court date. Ms coleman cancelled our 6pm meeting which was scheduled for January 4, 2019 without telling me. She just decided not to show up, to not answer her phone, to not answer any text messages by me or my wife all because I had a problem with her pushing to accept a plea to impaired driving and I had a problem with her viewing the video tape of the traffic stop, the dash cam the body cam, because Ms coleman promised me that when she obtained the video's of the traffic stop that we would watch the video together. Have you ever been fired by your own lawyer cause of some concerns you may have. Have your lawyer told you the best you can do is plea to something you feel you can do better on. Especially when you blow a .08 the actual limit to drinking and driving. Well this one did that to me. I payed her $1500, what I got out of it was one court appearance and a bunch of directions and instructions that all in all turned out to be false. My license wasn't restricted or suspended, Veterans treatment court was not the answer for me and pleading to an impaired driving or open intoxicant was not the answer as my newly hired lawyer post Ms. Judy coleman, proved to me with his DUI expertise. Ms Coleman was a nice lady when you talk with her in person. That's about all she is good for as far as DUI's go as far as i'm concern. I could go on on and about this lawyer. I have the text messages and my memory to prove it. Do not trust her if you cannot see her. You will be pleading your life away with this lady. What type of lawyer cancels an appointment with there client who paid them already. What type of lawyer won't answer her phone when there client is outside there office at the schedule appointment time. what type of lawyer will not answer there clients text messages when the offense such as this is so serious and could potentially job ending. What type of lawyer will not respond to a client's wife when she calls and text her about the appointment. The next and last time I heard from Ms Judy coleman was the next morning at around 11am while at my son's bowling league. She said she cancelled the appointment because until I spoke with another lawyer about my case as if she was not a hired attorney. UNBELIEVABLE
