STAY AWAY! BIG WASTE OF TIME!!!!
I spoke with Frances over the phone before I booked and I admit she sounded great and I felt it would be a great learning experience but now I know she was really acting like she was a good coach!
After the call I booked a 4 session package for $200 for four 45 minute sessions once a week.
My first session we mostly talked about myself and my background and sometime about a characters motivation. Before my session I was given a monologue about death of a salesman to memorize which I did and when I asked her if she would like to hear it she said we were out of time and the session was over.
Before my next session I was having internet and cable issues with AT&T and they had been working all day to resolve it but was unable to. This was the day before my session and when I realized they may not be able to have my services restored by the next day for my 2pm session I emailed her to explain my situation. I then received a return email stating that she had a STRICT 24hr cancellation policy and she would not be able to reschedule my appointment if my service was not restored even though I was giving her 17-18hrs notice and that it may not be restored.
Fortunately the next morning my service was restored by noon which was plenty of time for my 2pm session and I emailed her by 12:30 to let her know I will be able to make the appointment but “I didn’t appreciate her lack of understanding on something like this.” Nevertheless I’ll see you at 2pm.
Her email response was that she was sorry I am unhappy and that those are her policies and it would be best to find another coach to work with. She said her time is limited and cannot have last minute cancellations. She then said she will refund my money immediately which she did.
First off I never said I was unhappy I said “I don’t appreciate your lack of understanding on something like this” I also said “ I’ll see you at 2pm” I didn’t cancel my appointment I actually confirmed I will be there! Also she canceled my appointment with 1hr 30min before we started as if my time is not important or valuable and didn’t give her customer the same courtesy she asks for. She also charged me $50 for a session that was more of a meet and greet than a lesson!
When I emailed her and asked her why she threw me in the trash like garbage at the last minute and that this was very unprofessional, she responded with “I would professionally advise to be careful what you wrote online as a performer as this can never be undone and the world of performance is very small” I guess I will get blackballed for telling the truth about what happened to me. What she doesn’t realize is that after being paralyzed from a car accident and being unable to walk for the rest of my life I no longer am afraid to tell the truth or speak up about anything because I have already knocked on deaths door and seen far worse thing’s!!
Everything I have said is true and not one lie or embellishment. I honestly was going to attend my next session and move on and I can’t believe how I was treated. Please be careful in the future because the only lesson I did learn is not to pay for advance sessions until I’m 100% sure this is a good coach for me and I suggest you do the same!
