We had a fantastic experience with James yesterday.
I picked him because of the other 5-star reviews on Thumbtack, and I am adding yet another 5-star review myself. We had previously had a very poor experience with another company (Flamingo appliance service... I really suggest you stay away from them.) The other company took 7 weeks, waiting for parts, waiting for tech availability... lots of stress and a very big $ outlay... And by contrast, this is how my experience went with James:
3/15 10AM - Flamingo (previous company I used) bails again with some bogus excuse. I have been trying to get someone to come take a service call for 2 weeks at this point. I called them in the first place because Whirlpool has certified them as their official repair service. Don't be fooled. There are better options out there!
3/15 10:05AM - I remember I have an app called Thumbtack on my phone and I log in to see what my options could be for my Whirlpool dryer. They dryer is turning, but no heat is emitting.
3/15 10:15AM - I message Appliance Smart Service (James' company) to ask if they can service my model
3/15 10:20AM - James confirms he can come SAME day from 2-4pm (so like literally hours later)
3/15 3PM - James shows up and diagnoses the problem quickly. See pictures for the horror show that was my dryer.
3/15 4PM - James has the parts he needs in his van and is able to fix the dryer IMMEDIATELY
3/15 4:30PM - Dryer is fixed. James is professional and communicates effectively. Price point is reasonable.
So 5-stars all round for this man for: being responsive, professional, polite, punctual, fixing the problem and charging me a reasonable amount for the job.
I highly recommend and we will be using him again.
