Bryson is a great guitar instructor, very laid back and easy going. He starts with basic instruction and is good at building off the previous weeks lesson. He focuses on playing together so you can get experience keeping time with another musician. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to learn how to play the guitar.

I've been taking classical guitar lessons with John for almost 5 months now, and I look forward to every single lesson. John is a patient, encouraging, and very knowledgeable teacher, and I feel like he really tailors each lesson to his student. I've enjoyed every song I've learned with him - and sometimes he plays tidbits from other genres that I end up wanting to learn as well! He emphasizes technique and fundamentals for sustainable long-term guitar-playing (as a classically trained pianist, this is exactly what I'm looking for!) and always keeps things fun :)

Schedule a trial guitar lesson for 7 year old daughter to gauge her interest and response to it. It went really well. Worked with Tony, he was passionate and was able to engage her and maintain her interest. We signed up for more lessons. Nice experience overall, good customer service and follow up.

Bryson was a great teacher and really molds his lessons to what the student needs/wants. Just from one lesson I walked away with a better understanding of the fundamentals and techniques for the electric guitar. He gave me tips to improve and material to practice while also giving me ways to make practicing fundamentals fun and not “homework”, which is a huge step up from the normal strict lessons I’ve had with past teachers.

I’ve taken a few electric guitar lessons from Bryson. He is nice and knowledgeable. My friends and I have already noticed my guitar playing skills have gotten a lot better since I’ve started my lessons with Bryson. The value is on point. And it’s definitely a level up if you go to his studio where he can get on the drums while you play. That’s a lot of fun and brings a new dynamic to creating music rather than only playing solo on the guitar, which is what I already do at home. I really enjoy my sessions with Bryson because he gives me feedback that will help improve my playing that I cannot or would not be able to see/learn for myself, and he also gives me resources and strategies to practice on my own time. I look forward to my next lesson with him!

I have had one lesson with this dude and I will say that I am mighty impressed. I chose him because he has a reasonable fee and had good reviews, but honestly he could be charging more. If you have been like me and have been putting off guitar lessons, hire this pro NOW and get some beautiful music coming from your instrument. Not only was he a good music instructor, but he was able to teach guitar concepts in a way that made sense to me as a professional computer programmer! Now that is talent. Do yourself a favor and hire him today!

Bryson is an outstanding teacher ! I have been playing for a little over a year on my own through watching YouTube videos etc, and my first guitar lesson with Bryson I learned more in an hour than I learned on my own for a whole year . He gets to the point and works at your pace ! Super patient , and lessons are fun. I highly recommended.

I wanted to sign my husband up for guitar lessons for Father's Day and I am so happy I found MadChair. He enjoyed the lessons so much and is going to continue them. He is excited to go every week and his playing has improved. He says he learns so much every week and also enjoys the instructor since he has a vast amount of knowledge and diverse musical taste. Matt has extensive music theory knowledge and guitar skills. He’s extremely thorough and can explain complex concepts very simply.
I reached out to Matt as a long time hobby guitarist looking to learn more theory and learn more difficult pieces. In every lesson, I’ve had a “mind=blown” moment ranging from a beautiful chord I’ve never heard before to all the different ways to slap the guitar for percussion.

Jonathan is an excellent guitar teacher, very patient, and adaptable. He's great at pushing you to explore different techniques and playing styles so that you can become a well-rounded player. He also provides fantastic videos and additional resources to help you practice in between lessons. I was self-taught for years but working with Jonathan has helped improve my skills tremendously. Oh and he's also a fun and down-to-earth guy in general which makes every lesson productive and enjoyable.

Erik has been excellent at teaching the basics by slowly introducing parts of the music theory but making sure it’s still fun and not overwhelming. I definitely feel more progress with each lesson! I had a couple years of guitar experience before starting lessons with Bryson to help address any bad habits I might have picked up. It's been really useful! A typical lesson will involve a mix of jamming (with Bryson on the drums), discussing possible improvements in technique and the structure of the jam, and going over various pieces of music theory (scales, key signatures, sight reading, etc.). It covers skills needed to be a good guitarist and a good musician in general. Also, Bryson has been very responsive over email and text messaging, which is nice.

I have been taking lessons with Bryson for around 9 months now. I had already been playing guitar for 7 years, but knew I wanted to learn more theory and improve skills across the board (neck?). Bryson has been amazing with guiding the journey through all that I've asked for, plus a whole lot more (theory, sight reading, jamming, different playing styles, learning songs, better ways to practice at home, etc.) I feel that I have learned quite a bit in the 9 months, and am a noticeably better guitar player. I have taken lessons from Ed for about a month and I think he's an excellent teacher. I have been playing guitar for many years and taken lessons from several other teachers and Ed has me working on things that are helping me learn the theory that other teachers did not do. I find his approach very useful and it doesn't overwhelm. Plus he's willing to take the time to learn songs and solos that you want to learn, which adds an element of fun so you're not just learning and practicing theory and exercises. Ed is an excellent teacher, a nice guy, and a fun person to talk with. Highly recommended!

My son has been taking guitar lessons with Robert and it has been the best experience. He has never truly learned to play an instrument before, so I was a little worried how he would take to it. Robert has been wonderful from the start. He's kind, patient, encouraging, and very easy going. This has allowed my son to want to continue to take lessons bc doesn't feel pressured and stressed. Robert also picks the coolest music. It's music that my son can relate to or has heard before. Even with all the restrictions with COVID, Robert has figured out how to give Ben his lessons via FaceTime, which has worked out perfectly. I am so pleased not only working with this company, but with having a quality teacher like Robert!!

Jeff Dewine is superb, you are a lucky if you can work with him. He gave private guitar lessons to my two boys and myself and he was phenomenal. My kids are 7 and 10 and I am in my fifties, all starting from absolute zero. He had to teach three different styles, but he is made for this. He is extremely patient with the kids and always encouraging, and he is quick to adapt his teaching method and language to the student. He is an accomplished musician and I know that I am a pretty slow student, but he never makes me feel dumb or guilty. He always finds something you are doing right, and builds on that.
He is also very responsive and generous with his time and he goes above and beyond to make sure you get the help that you need, even outside of his teaching schedule. I totally recommend him to anyone.
