I needed a medicine cabinet replaced with one nearly the same size. Dirks' quote was really fair compared to the other ones, I had to select "cabinet installation" but a lot of the quotes came back really high as if they were for big kitchen cabinets and didn't read the detail I put in the request. Scheduling was great, he came right out and did an amazing job and even made some great decisions to modify the hanging structure for a better installation. He cleaned everything up and I'd have him out to the house again in a minute for the next thing.

I was specifically looking for an experienced IKEA cabinet installer. Two workers arrived that looked confused and told me they had never installed an IKEA kitchen. I told them that’s not what I requested and they should leave if they don’t know how to install.
Five minutes later I received a call saying that the company is indeed experienced, just not the guys they sent and they were sending someone who was experienced that would train the two and have the kitchen installed.
An hour later that experienced person arrived.
The “day” consisted of 3 people struggling to install 2 wall cabinets and 5 base cabinets. Start time 10:00, end time 4:00 with a lunch break.
The price I was quoted was what they presented in the final bill. Sounds fair right? But we discovered most of the doors were back ordered and when I said “hey, not your fault but there are no doors” and the drawers were not installed even though they were there (they said didn’t know they were there-but they didn’t even ask). One of the workers said to give them a call when the doors come in and they will come back. So when I get the bill for the full quoted price I ask “Can I pay you for x amount and pay the balance when the doors arrive?” The response was that we quoted an amount for one day of work and we did one day of work. Ok so I paid the bill as quoted. NOT a complete job and I also paid for the on-the-job training for 2 inexperienced workers for about 5.5 hours of work.
Because this company quickly responded to my request for quote and had prompt communication, I am generously giving them 3 stars. As an experienced business owner I would advise this company not to over promise because it leads to disappointment. Why would you send inexperienced workers for a job that had specific requirements? Why would you not be flexible with payment when a job is incomplete? My experience was disappointing.
