Judy G. says, "Let me start off by saying MICHELLE AND BROS ROOFING is phenomenal!! I have been using them for years for my residential and commercial property, since Leo was started his company. The first job he dolis for us was waterproofing on a rotted wall that was leaking into our tenants celiling. It needed to be removed and repaired and he did it in 1 week and put high quality siding, and warranted his work. Hes also done our roofs, and we are in contract for our multi unit building in San Francisco, for crawlspace and attic reapirs. He has Excellent Workmanship and they are a great family owned and family oriented business. Highly recommend Leo and his crew, you will not regret it! I have not once, since the years of hiring him for multiple jobs, have there been any mishaps or issues with garbage or cleanliness. I almost lost a gem by getting a cheaper bid yearsss ago, and I'm glad we went with our GUT and hired him. For reference are some pictures he sent me throughout the job in progress (he always does this from in progress to finished project and it makes everything that much more reassuring for us)"See more

Ben Mchatton says, "after me and my family recently moved to kentfield with our three small children, we moved into a house built in 1937. This was an older home and we needed a full home remodel to accommodate our needs, including a more open floor plan, a remodeled master bathroom and an enlarged master closet to accommodate our needs. After hearing all the horror stories out there of our friends working with contractors and not getting the result, we wanted it was really important for us to interview several contractors prior to making a decision. After meeting with Isaac with Green Bay remodeling in our initial consultation, we were immediately put at ease with his professionalism attention to detail and creative ideas to accommodate our vision.Through the design planning process and permitting, Isaac was a tentative and provided transparent communication constantly. When the project started, the crew showed up between 8 and 9 AM every day leaving 4 to 5 PM every weekday just as Isaac said. The crew was efficient and kept the job site cleaner at all times. A stand out for us was their tile worker Victor did incredible work showing. The years of experience he had in the field. The finish result of the project is nothing short of breathtaking and we have Isaac and his team to think for making our dream home.We consistently refer Isaac and his team to friends and family in the neighborhood!"See more

Jixuan W. says, "We recently purchased a home and noticed some new cracks had formed around our bathroom doorframes. We also noticed that part of our floor was sagging slightly more, and were concerned that our foundation wasn't stable. Joe came and took a thorough look through our home, crawlspace, and our perimeter. He pointed out that our slanted floors were fairly minor, and that our foundation was solid and well prepared for an earthquake. He clearly explained why certain braces (which we had) were important and suggested improvements we could make to further strengthen our foundation. He also helped triage a leaking sewer pipe and minor pooling of water at our perimeter. Joe went above and beyond to ensure that we understood our home and felt safe. Though we didn't have any work done, I will contact Joe for future seismic work."See more

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is the best waterproof flooring for a basement?

There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application.

Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.

Vinyl tiles and planks imitate wood or other materials very convincingly, provide moisture resistance and last a long time. And sheet vinyl is affordable and a great waterproofing solution for those in need of quick fixes.
