Lin has been teaching my two boys piano for over a year. We are extremely happy to have our boys learn music from her. They have been making good progress, she pays attention to the individual likes/needs for a child, and designs the lesson to match that. I would highly recommend her.

I'm 33 years old and the last time I played piano, I was 20 years old when I took 1 year of pianolessons. I started taking lessons with David couple of months ago. His method of teaching was new to me and was much more exciting than the first time that I tried to learn piano.
The piece I worked on during the past couple of months is called "Mia and Sebastian's Theme" from La La Land movie. The strategic teams format was very helpful in terms of seeing other students progress, receiving feedback and learning from the lectures.
David is very sharp and knowledgeable and he helped me improve with maximum efficiency. His learning methodology such as adding in reverse and spaced repetition were game changers for me. I was impressed by how much musicality I was able to add to my piece using the directions from David.
I love attending David's classes not only because of the unique methodology, but also because of the practicing mindset that he shapes for me.
David is one of the most professional people I have met. He is very responsive and helpful. His talent in music and years of practice shows in every single comment or advice that he gives.
I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn piano in a very efficient and fun way.

Kyle goes above and beyond with the pianolessons. Every lesson my daughter and Kyle go over rhythms, note reading, finger exercises, ear training, improvisation and the songs that she is currently learning. I feel like she is getting a very well rounded and detailed music education. He always keeps my husband and me informed. We are not musicians so Kyle lets us know what he is teaching our daughter and the reason for it. He is quick to respond if we have questions and does his best to be accommodating if/when our schedule changes. Not to mention that he is just a likable person. Highly recommended!

Hana has been working with my 14 year old son over the past 3 months and I have seen so much progress and enjoyment in this time compared to the previous few years he has been in lessons with other teachers. He gets along well with Hana, who is very patient, kind, fun, and teaches piano in an approachable way, breaking down a piece so that he can master each part and get a real sense for the music. Hana is a phenomenal teacher for any age and ability!

I've had about 10 teachers since starting pianolessons some 60 years ago. Hana Shin, by far, is the best! She is an extraordinarily gifted musician and teacher in so many ways. It's not just the immense depth and breadth of her knowledge across all genres -- from classical and modern standards to blues, jazz and pop. It's not just her appreciation of precision and her non-judgmental patience. It's not just her gentle approach and contagious passion for all things musical. What really sets Hana apart from my other teachers is her rare ability to create a process -- a logical roadmap -- tailored to this student's particular level and areas of interest.
For the past several years, I have worked with four other teachers to try to go beyond sight reading and learn how to embellish or improvise around the blues and jazz. It's been a frustrating experience, to say the least. Until Hana. Hana is the only teacher who has adapted my capabilities -- and limitations -- around a clear, step-by-step, process that I can understand and execute on at my own pace.
Along with working on recommended theory books, customized exercises, and my favorite pieces, Hana's guidance is helping me to unlock the the mysteries of blues and jazz improvisation. In a recent recital, I noticed how her personalized approach has inspired many other students, whether playing themes as solos or duets (with Hana) from Beethoven, Mahler, Wintergatan, "Moana,"or Ray Charles. Whether you're a beginner, an intermediate or advanced player -- a youngster or retiree like me -- look no further than Hana Shin to learn the infinite joys of playing piano.
