Vanessa P. says, "We had been experiencing a leak in our master bath tub for quite a while now. We recently had a kitchen remodel and replaced the countertops sinks and faucets in our master bathroom and I had inquired about the leak and replacing the tub one as well. I had been told by two different plumbers that the leak could not be fixed or the faucets replaced due to the fact that the faucets were installed in an area next to a cabinet where the whole tub would have to be replaced. It was going to be a costly ordeal. Recently the faucet started leaking a lot more and it was apparent I needed to find a plumber. I looked up plumbers in our area and Clear Path Plumbing popped up. I sent a message and Stephen responded right away. I live in a more remote area and he let me know the service fee would be a bit more since it was a long drive but if we decide to go ahead and use his services that fee gets waved. We made an appointment for him to come within a couple of days. He suggested coming the next day but I couldn’t that day. Stephen was very punctual and he was able to suggest a much cheaper route. To replace the Delta faucet handle stems he suggested we start small. Which I appreciated. I was praying we didn’t need to go the having to replace the tub route. Stephen did an inspection and left to see if he could find the parts he needed. He was back within 40 minutes and he installed both handle stems. The leak was corrected for the most part except for a very slow drip. We had discussed the needing a new tub and asked for an estimate. The next morning I noticed that one of the handles was not sitting on correctly so I decided to call him the next day. He didn’t argue and he suggested to come back again and inspect it within a couple of days. Again he showed up on time. He fiddled with it and noticed the drip was coming from the hot water side. He said the part he replaced normally came with a seal and this one didn’t have it. He happened to have one and installed it. I’m happy to say the issue was resolved!! it’s no longer leaking!! I really appreciate Stephen coming back and looking at it again. He didn’t charge extra and he had provided a discount the first time since it hadn’t resolved the issue completely the first time. I’m so happy to be able to use my tub again! The other plumbers never suggested this option and wanted to charge us a lot to replace the tub. Roger H. says, "I highly recommend Flelix & Flex One Plumbing! Flelix “snaked” and cleared a clog in my 70 foot main sewer line in my Los Altos house for only $185 ( I have a readily accessible clean out on the side of my house). Other plumbers were quoting $220 plus ( one guy, who I found while googling wanted $450!). In addition, Flelix returned to my house on 8/14 and ran a camera through that 67 year old main sewer line of mine FOR FREE! Others had quoted $350 - $450 for such a service. I wanted a diagnosis of that old sewer line ( any offsets, root incursion, irregular line sloping ect. ) in order to plot long term strategies for keeping the line going. Look, it always makes sense to hire or at least get a quote from a guy like Flelix- an extremely experienced guy who has worked for the much more expensive major plumbing outfits for decades and who now is independent ( for two years now). He’s just as good, just as competent, has all the same equipment as the big boys but he charges a lot less BECAUSE HE DOESNT HAVE THE OVERHEAD THAT THEY DO. Plus you can trust an independent guy like Flelix because any nefarious interactions would most certainly be mentioned on review or feedback forums like this one. Do yourself a big favor, at least get a quote from this guy. Not only can he offer competitive & competent solutions but also the peace of mind that comes from a potential long term plumbing affiliation, knowing that you won’t get ripped off by unnecessary and OVERLY EXPENSIVE plumbing work."See more
