I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, but in this case, I feel it's important to share my experience to help others avoid a similar situation. My initial interactions with Moses were far from ideal. After inquiring about his services, he said he would call me to discuss further. We set a time, but he missed the agreed-upon window. It took several attempts to finally connect, and when we did, he offered excuses, such as being tied up with other jobs. Despite this, I decided to proceed with the project, which was a cabinet installation. We agreed on a price of $500 for the installation of five base cabinets, with the understanding that Moses had experience in the union doing similar work.
However, our communication problems persisted. On December 13th, I reached out to confirm the pickup time for the cabinets at Menards, which we had agreed would be 9 a.m. I asked Moses to text me when he was on his way, but he failed to do so. His tone during our interactions became increasingly rude and disrespectful. At Menards he tried to strong arm me for more money which I reluctantly gave him 50 extra dollars. Distance my business is approximately 12 mins from Menards so I gave him well over the amount.
Once the cabinets were installed, further issues arose. When my countertop contractors came to install the countertops, they noticed that the base cabinets were improperly installed and lacked the necessary support for the countertops.
Instead of taking responsibility, Moses blamed me. He claimed that Menards did not provide instructions for the countertop installation, but Moses himself had the instructions. Frankly, someone with his “10 years of experience” should have known how to install the cabinets correctly without relying on them. When I asked for a resolution, Moses shifted the blame to me, claiming it was my fault for not having the sink available and for not speaking up sooner once I saw the end result. This lack of accountability was disappointing, to say the least.
As a physician, I would never blame a patient for the outcome of a procedure, and Moses's refusal to take responsibility reflects a concerning lack of professionalism. Now, I’m forced to pay someone else to fix the mistakes, which is frustrating.
Ultimately, it was Moses’s disregard for my time, his poor work ethic, and his lack of accountability that prompted me to write this review. While his companion was kind and helpful, Moses’s unprofessional behavior made the experience difficult. I hope Moses takes this feedback to heart and works to improve his communication and professionalism. Despite some positive reviews, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I would caution others to carefully consider their options.
