My fiance and I greatly enjoyed working with Doug throughout the whole process of our engagement photoshoot! Attempting to do some online research to determine where to even begin, I was thrilled when I stumbled across Doug's portfolio and even more so when he and I began discussing my vision and how we could best accomplish it. Based on my love of historical romance novels, I hoped to use the photoshoot to find a romance novel cover-worthy pose to use for our Save the Dates where my fiance and I are featured in our very own romance! Rather than poo-poo my ideas, Doug seemed genuinely excited to help us make it a reality and threw out some valuable suggestions that helped give us direction. He was incredibly responsive via email or the phone, and he recommended we both share a Pinterest album to further communicate and visualize the desired end product. On the day of the shoot itself, Doug seemed even friendlier and more knowledgeable in person and he explained everything he did behind the camera to us (i.e. adjusting lighting, certain angles, etc.) so that we understood all that was going on. The day was absolutely frigid with the temps in the 40s and strong wind, and he was always solicitous of our comfort. We completed three different poses and were absolutely amazed at how good he made us look! Our Save the Dates are ordered, and we cannot WAIT to hear people's reactions! :) Overall, definitely recommend Doug for any photo needs!
