- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Personally, I want to get to know my client! Taking photos is a very intimate process, regardless of the type of session. It’s important for me to know dynamics or important details about each person/couple/family. I try to start conversations easy, small talk to we can really get to know one another.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Schedule a time to talk via phone! I know this day in age phone calls are boring. but no!! this is where I get to really meet my clients. I get to hear their voice, and pick up on what they’re enjoying and what not. It also helps with better understanding one another. On the phone we discuss first get to know each-other! Then follows the event details, price, location, and any pertinent info I need to know as the photographer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It’s actually a funny story to me! I’ve always had a interest in photography. Took some classes in high-school and little in college. But my fiancé and I were getting our engagement photos taken. I saw how the photos turned out and said , I want to re create that feeling for other people. It had been my first time getting professional photos. It made me feel beautiful. I quickly decided to pick up my camera and start helping people feel beautiful and special in their moments. I am so happy I did, I love my job.
