I wanted crown molding in my new house but after checking with friends, I could not locate someone whose reputation would put my mind at ease. I was aware of Angie's List and Home Advisor but did not like what it took to get a simple quote. So I tried Thumbtack and it has been a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Within 10 to 15 minutes Ruben Pardo sent me a message seeking additional information about my project. He was extremely responsive and helped me figure out what I actually wanted. He quoted 3 prices as options. I could buy the molding and have it on site and he would install it. Or he would purchase the molding and install it. Lastly, I opted for choice number 3 which was his obtaining the molding, installing it, and doing the final caulking and painting.
His brother arrive on time to take measurements and then Ruben arrived with another worker. Ruben's crew was fast and the finished product for the downstairs was done in about 5 hours. It looks beautiful. His crew and he cleaned up, accepted a check for the agreed amount and gave me some great information about my kitchen cabinets. Sergio and Mauricio did a great job on installing our trim , I just wish they would have caulk and painted it which is considered a complete installation of trim work. We discussed it up front and he told me they didn't do that part of the crown molding which was a first for me because in my experience that goes hand in hand in installing all trim which I expressed to him. I would have gave him a 4 star because of that. I rated them a 5 star because they done a great job and also they had great attitudes, talked to me about every cut before making it because prior to them I had some bad experiences and they were sensitive to that and they were very respectful, they communicated well, great customer service skill ,very courteous, respectful of my home didn't damage my walls, etc. and cleaned up after their selves. I will definitely hire them again for future jobs, really nice guys.
