After buying a new house, my husband and I needed to hire a contractor to assist with various projects. I set appointments with several different folks and actually met Dewayne last. Unlike any of the others, he showed up to the estimate appointment with a measuring tape, pen, and notebook. He even put on shoe covers to walk through the house. As we walked around, he asked me several great questions (things I hadn’t even thought of!) and took measurements, notes, and photos. (The others just walked around and looked - as if they’d remember everything??) I was so impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail that hiring him was an easy choice.
Before starting the job, he gave a financial quote and told us the date he expected to be done with the work. Both ended up being spot on!
Dewayne showed up every day as expected. The quality of his work is EXCELLENT. Since we weren’t living in the home while he was working there, we stayed in touch via text as the project went on. He remained very attentive to details and was very responsive - both are so huge for me. He gives amazing advice, finds solutions to problems, and makes sure things get done the right way.
He removed popcorn ceilings; repaired, sanded, and painted walls; fixed and added baseboards; rehung a door; mounted a dishwasher; oversaw tile work; and installed ceiling fans for us — everything is gorgeous and the place was totally cleaned up when he was done.
On top of his work being amazing, Dewayne is just a really nice person. He’s got a great energy and is helpful, kind, and smart.
We were terrified to hire a contractor. We’ve heard so many horror stories! But, Dewayne proved to be a dream come true. We would absolutely recommend him - and we will be reaching out to him for future projects!
