- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do have standard pricing whenever it comes to our Labor charges and all of our materials have consistent markup. This way customers are not shocked with hidden costs, fees, etc
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, we start off with an in-home measurement to determine budget parameters. (We also allow customers to select samples from our website to bring to the in-home measurement for their convenience). Then we have a Sales questionnaire for the customer to fill out in order to identify the specific product needs that the customer is looking for. This is not a one-size-fits-all type of business, so we like to tailor the process as much as possible to find the right flooring solution for each individual customer. We then have a product consultation in the showroom or at the customer's home. Once a product has been selected we work out a time that is both convenient for us and the client we schedule an install date!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up working and learning in the flooring industry my entire life. My first position at Watkins Decorating was the Warehouse cleaner/organizer whenever I was 5, began installing carpet and hardwood wenever I was 10 and broke into sales once I was 17. After High school I attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville to study Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Entrepreneurship. I believe my studies in my time their helped me further develop the business systems I use today in order to be as efficient and effective as possible for our clients.
