I recently had a speaking engagement in Charleston and Matt photographed it. He was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Incredibly responsive to the initial request, very prompt day of the event, took AMAZING photos after I gave him direction on the types of shots I was looking for, and turned around very HIGH QUALITY images in a matter of days. Would DEFINITELY recommend Matt to anyone looking for a highly professional and talented event photographer!

I cannot say enough good things about working with Victor Billups photography. He provided his services for a corporate event in Charleston. We found him at the last minute, but he and his assistant were there promptly with equipment to spare. The photos he provided were beautiful and professional. Jeff recently shot my organization's 25th Annual Meeting in Charleston, SC. There were close to 500 guests in attendance and the event spanned over the course of three days. Jeff shot for a total of ~30 hours in three days, and the resulting photos were really great! Photos consisted primarily of speakers/ presenters, staged group photos, and candid shots of attendees networking and socializing. Jeff is very through and attentive, beginning with the initial consultation phone call all the way to post production and photo delivery. On-site, Jeff was very friendly and outgoing with both my staff and the event attendees. It was a pleasure to work with Jeff, as he made the process very easy!

Serg was great to work with! We were in Charleston for vacation and wanted our engagement photos done there, he made himself available for the day we were free. He had great suggestions for locations and knew exactly were we should go based on the inspiration pic I had sent him. He was wonderful to work with and had our pictures back to us by the next day!!! I’d definitely recommend him for engagement photos, wedding photos, basically any event I’d need a photographer for!

He checked in with me to make sure we satisfied with his services, midway through, and our picture was ready within 48 hrs after our event. We booked Matt for my sisters bachelorette weekend and he is AMAZING!!! He was very responsive to my messages and made sure he had a clear vision of what we wanted. We decided to go to Rainbow Row and then Matt gladly guided us to a few more beautiful spots nearby. He’s very knowledgeable about the area and also gave us good ideas while we were posing all together!
Needless to say, I would highly recommend him for any type of photo shoot and I will absolutely book him again if he’s available for the next event I attend.

This was my very first time using the thumbtack service. I was in search of a photographer and other services in the Charleston area for an event that I was planning and decided to use this platform. Victor was the first to respond. When I spoke with him, he was very personable and made me feel comfortable. When I shared my theme, he became very excited and I knew he would capture the perfect moments. His pricing also fit within my budget.
Although we had to cancel our event in Charleston due to the corona virus, I did not know what to expect, but he was understanding and still very accommodating! He was even thinking of ways he could still provide services in GA because he was truly in sync with our theme. That is why I am giving him 5 stars even though I did not have the opportunity to meet him or utilize his services!

Bottom Line: Anyone would be VERY LUCKY to have Victor as their wedding photographer. He says his bride's are his first priority and it is true!
I live in St. Louis and hoped to find a great photographer for my wedding on Folly Beach. Through Thumbtack, I found Victor and we talked on the phone. I could tell right away that he would be a great fit for my [now] husband and me. I had no idea just how amazing Victor would be. He went WAY above and beyond to help me/us have a very special experience. He was far more than our photographer. He helped me find a hairdresser to come to her shop on her day off to do my hair and makeup and he showed up at the salon to take pictures during that time. His presence, and that of his wife Kim, at our very special event was unobtrusive yet so supportive. After the wedding, he took more shots on the beach. He and Kim had been such special participants in our special day that we asked if we could have pictures with them, which my son took with Victor's super fancy camera. We came back to St. Louis and had our Wedding Reception 12 days after our wedding. I requested that Victor, if possible, provide us our pictures and his video before that day so we could share it with our family. He stayed up into the night getting the video done in time. The video was so touching that it brought tears to the eyes of anyone who watched it. We watch it and show it to our friends quite often. Victor is a very good person. He has a generous heart. He is an artist of many forms. His photography made me look like a model. I could never be able to thank him enough for all he did for me.

Matthew was incredibly professional and had such a relaxed and accommodating demeanor, which was perfect for the unique atmosphere of my daughter’s wedding. It was a small, intimate ceremony with just close family at a house we rented on the beach. Matthew captured moments we didn’t even realize were happening, and his eye for the smallest details brought our day to life in ways we couldn’t have imagined.
He has a true gift for capturing both the tender, emotional moments and the subtle, heartfelt details that make each event unique. We feel like we got so much more than we paid for—his rates are incredibly affordable for the quality of work he provides.
Initially, my daughter wasn’t sure about having a photographer because she didn’t want a stranger intruding on such a private day. But Matthew never felt like a stranger—he blended in seamlessly, almost like part of the family, while preserving the intimacy of the occasion.
We’re forever grateful for his artistic talent and the beautiful memories he gave us. Thank you, Matthew, for making our special day even more unforgettable.
