What is the best waterproof flooring for a basement?
There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application.
Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.
Vinyl tiles and planks imitate wood or other materials very convincingly, provide moisture resistance and last a long time. And sheet vinyl is affordable and a great waterproofing solution for those in need of quick fixes.

Patrick did an amazing job with our basement. Our basement was totally a useless space. and my husband and I had a vision and Patrick made that vision come to life; we absolutely LOVE our basement. He turned our boring unfinished basement into a beautiful area where we can entertain guest, he added an extra room which we use as a art studio, a laundry room was also added, he created a utility closet , brand new floors, beautiful recess lightings he went above and beyond to make our basement beautiful. The best part is Patrick is very nice and a pleasure to work with.... he is very professional, and polite, he will also educate you by breaking down what he is doing and why he is doing it. I will definitely refer Patrick to family and friends. Thank you again!

It was incredible, professional, and seamless working experience with the Ken Group on my basement refinishing. From the initial conversations with the project lead, Rammy, to the day to day hands on coordination with the contractor Luis, and the efficiency of the workers, I was thrilled with the results, the timeliness, value, and the overall quality. My beat up basement with plywoid floors transformed into a refinished hang out space for our family thanks to The Ken Group. I highly recommend The Ken Group.

I hired Pisha Construction for my basement rebuild after we had water damage due to a leak. I called Gio and he came out the same day to give me an estimate. He was prompt and very knowledgeable about the rebuild process with the insurance company. Gio and his crew started the job on 6/17 and was finished on 6/24. In less than a week we had our basement back to normal. We are super happy with the work and would definitely recommend Pisha Construction for all your remodeling needs.

Wanda and her team were absolutely wonderful when it comes to handling our basement fix. We needed walls to be patched up while still maintaining access to our sump pump. Clean work with attention to detail and transparent with contract details. Would definitely book for other jobs again!

These guys were AMAZING!!!
From the punctuality, to the professionalism to the quality of work, to the pricing I have been satisfied from the beginning to end. Everything was organized, the communication was great, and they gave such great ideas for my basement that I didn’t even think of myself. I would recommend them 100% and actually only plan on letting them do work around my house from now on.

Rammy and Co. were great to work with! Turned an outdated half finished basement & garage into a modern in-law suite! We had permits, architectural plans, plumbing, electrical, cement work etc. I had 5 bids, some more, some less expensive than Ken Group, but you get what you pay for, and with Rammy, you are getting professionalism at a fair price.

Cena responded to our project promptly and professionally! He and his partner transformed our basement, giving it the much-needed facelift it deserved. My wife and I are thrilled with the results. Our only 'problem' now is deciding whether to keep it as my office or turn it into her yoga studio! Thank you, Cena, for creating a space that's so wonderful we're fighting over it!

Locksley of RENEWS HOME LLC does great general contracting work for the finishing of my 540 sq feet basement. He proved to be great for general remodeling. He has good workmanship. I highly recommend Locksley to people who needs general remodeling in their houses. His price was reasonable. If the work requires extensive work of plumbing and/or electric, the best way to take advantage of Locksley's great skill and workmanship is to also work with, along side with Locksley, a licensed/certified plumber and/or a licensed/certified electrician who are familiar with volumes of building codes.

We are genuinely thrilled with how everything is unfolding. It’s a comforting feeling to know we’re in such capable hands!

As a queer household rebuilding our home from the studs using only our own hard earned resources, when choosing a contractor to do our first interior remodel (after 2 years of investing in structural and foundational repairs of over $30,000, the stakes of this project very high). We reviewed 5 quotes before we met Woanda Ortiz, and felt such relief to be able to support a woman-owned family business- the values expounded from Wanda were ones of safety, transparency, and hands on support. She went above and beyond in the beginning of the process, with transparent change orders, drawings, and extensive communication. However, as the project extended well beyond the original timeline, it appeared Woanda’s team was over their capacity (perhaps from juggling multiple contracts). This is where mistakes began occurring and defensiveness, negligence, and deceptive communication overtook the previously delightful collaboration and established a new norm. In this new phase of partnership, we discovered (on our own, we were never told) a broken window, a broken valve which created a multi-day leak in our basement, cuts to a structural joist (which we had just spent $10,000 reinforcing with a specialized structural engineer), which caused the house to settle in a new and dangerous way. All of these things occurred while the bathroom remodel was in process and after we had paid well in advance of the end of the timeline in good faith to acknowledge the recorded delays and change orders in the project itself. When we brought these issues to the PRDR team, we were met with no apologies for the injuries themselves nor the omission of notifying us about them, but instead aggressive defensiveness, changing stories of how they happened, and denial of responsibility, sometimes up until we showed photographic evidence of the damage. As we continued forward in mediation there became a chaotic pendulum swing between apologies and accepted responsibility, with proposals for rectifying damage, and then back to denial and conflicting accounts of events.
We asked for a cash refund to cover the damages incurred by the PRDR team, and made multiple attempts for diplomatic and private mediation. After agreeing to commit to us to solutions for all damage incurred (which it is worth noting that the damage we are asking PRDR to be responsible was not exhaustive - there were multiple issues and delays we moved through amicably, including a flooded basement, an injury caused by a broken glass in our kitchen, and our kitten falling through the floor when the site was not properly closed up at the end of the work day, as well as leaving the house unsecured to potential intruders in the city of philadelphia), Woanda suddenly changed her stance when presented with the estimate of $5,000 refund (on a $14,000 job not including materials we purchased and coordinated delivery of). She then presented a bill (after the final invoice had been presented and agreed upon, of which we withheld only 600$ in reimbursements as a negotiating tool for mediation) of charges she “forgot” of over $3,000 additional, and threatened to counter sue us if we pursued small claims court, which we said would need to do as a last resort to recover resources for these damages. We find ourselves utterly heartbroken at this complete shift of character and professionalism as we prepare to file formal claims. It has been a devastating cloud over our first room remodel, a complete decimation of our long saved home project funds, and a traumatizing breach of trust that I’m sure will affect us as we try to look forward for future projects. We really thought we had found the company that would take us through our many remaining projects and now find ourselves back at square one, operating at a huge deficit. If you’d like to contact me for more information, my email is Brandi.Burgess75@gmail.com - I have everything documented - I will not include that here as we will need it as evidence to proceed with a formal case. I’m sad to say we cannot recommend PRDR with any confidence, not because of the mistakes that occurred - we understand progress is not always linear, but because of their refusal to accept responsibility and make things right, and their consistent emotionality and deception.
