After another photography studio told me that they would be available for my engagement photos and then left me in the lurch two days before the proposal, I spoke with Carl at A Moment in Time photography, I'm so glad I did!!
He was very responsive and told me that it would be no problem at all to photograph my proposal, despite such short notice.
He helped me choose a great location at Niagara Falls (U.S.A.) which would be private and memorable. I walked through my plan and he and his wife Caroline were already waiting for us when we arrived to the location after a nice dinner.
They captured nearly every single second of the proposal from beginning to end (candid photos), and after this Caroline took formal photos of my new fiancee and I at various beautiful locations for about 15-20 minutes or so.
They had the photos ready and uploaded to an online gallery in less than 2 days! The photos turned out quite beautifully, I would say that there were well over 250 unique photos in the gallery for this 20-25 minute event, which are downloadable from the gallery for you to keep.
He charged us a flat rate for everything, a really great price for the quality of work, punctuality, and responsiveness. I highly recommend A Moment in Time for your photography needs!

My experience with Carl was actually the first time I had ever used Thumbtack! I needed a photographer to capture my engagement at Niagara Falls without my girlfriend (now future fiancé) knowing. Being from out of town, Carl and I needed to coordinate for him to be there and find us without approaching me. Carl took time out of his Saturday to come and find me on Goat Island and take photos of our special moment. Thus, my first experience with Thumbtack was amazing and I cannot thank Carl enough for his time and consideration! It's too bad Carl doesn't live in Kansas City, MO because I would certainly hire him for all my photography needs if he did! Thank you so much Carl :)

Lisa was an amazing photographer to work with, I decided to do a surprise engagement at Niagara Falls. She recommended where would be a good spot and was willing to work with my plans and understanding what I wanted. She was very prompt with messages and she was very professional! Really nice person, would reccomend her to anyone. She is from the Niagara Falls area, so she knows where all the good spots are located! She knows what she is doing and is well worth the money! I did suprise engagement pictures and it was great! She also had some pictures back to us that night so we would be able to post them on Facebook for all our family to see! We love the photos she took!

Carl and his wife Carolyn were great! He was the “undercover photographer” for my surprise engagement at Niagara Falls and captured our special moment perfectly. He even drove us around to different areas within the park to get some more intimate and amazing pictures in spots we would’ve never known to go to! However, the thing we most appreciated about Carl was his professionalism when we kept having an issue where every time we viewed our video on our end it was getting cut off on the top and bottom. Carl worked so hard to get it fixed, it wasn’t a quick fix and it took a few tries because the problem kept happening but if it weren’t for his dedication to making sure that his clients were 110% satisfied with his work we wouldn’t have the beautiful memories of our engagement to share with our loved ones ! Thank you so much Carl and Carolyn, you’re the best!!!!
