I hired Herbert Lattibeaudere after reading all of the Thumbtack reviews and meeting with him. Unfortunately, my experiences were not as positive as some of the other reviewers.
I found out after deposits were given and the job had started that HERBERT LATTIBEAUDERE was NOT a LICENSED PLUMBER or Contractor and he should not be working in NYC.
It took Herbert nearly 8 months to complete the rough in work for 1-1/2 bath, w/d and kitchen sink. The new pipes that he installed were sloppy, not tested and numerous leaks were found (due to a bad solder job) near the job completion. The walls and tile work had to be ripped open 2X to locate all of the numerous mistakes and leaks. This was the point of no return for me, I terminated the job and asked for a breakdown/accounting of all the deposits given to him to no avail.
I never received a breakdown or a refund of the deposits given for framing and sheetrock - work that was not done by him! Total paid $15,500. on a $7500 plumbing job. RIP-OFF !
Overall, it turned out to be a sloppy, unprofessional nightmare of a job that I'm glad is finally over.
Always, Always ask to see a PROPER LICENSE and INSURANCE CREDENTIALS prior to hiring any professional.
If they are not licensed and insured they should not be working in NYC !
