Introduction
Mara Zalite is a Brooklyn-based creator whose Latvian roots run through most of what she creates: event photography, headshots, street photography, stamp carving, printmaking, card making, digital designs, graphic design, embroidery, beadwork, and so on, and on, and on. No knitting, though. Really not into knitting.
When not creating things, Mara leads the New York Latvian folk dancing group, “Jumalīte” after founding it with her cousin in 2021. Mara also runs an art studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
